Introducing our new Hitch Carrier line!
Available at launch are options for 4Runner/Lexus GX and Land Cruiser 200/LX570 with single arms or dual arms! Lead time of approximately 6-8 weeks.
Our Hitch Carriers are made utilizing the same swing arms from our full rear bumpers for a rugged, sturdy assembly. We use 1/4" laser cut, bent, and welded steel for the hitch arm assembly, with 1/4" thick 2" square tubing for the hitch. We utilize a weld nut inside the hitch for a through bolt to bolt through the receiver, as well as a wedge mount installed from the rear of the hitch from the underneath of the vehicle (spare tire must be dropped for access) for wobble reduction and security.
The swing arm utilizes the same spindle system as our rear bumpers for the hinge, utilizing trailer bearings and trailer axle hardware. The arm clamp is a Destaco 2,000 pound clamp with a safety latch. Both the clamp and the spindle hinge hardware are easily sourced through hardware suppliers like Tractor Supply, McMaster, etc, for ease of replacement if a breakage in the field occurs. Each arm option has a hold open latch to hold the arm in an open position and includes a stainless steel strike plate for the latch to prevent paint wear.
4Runner/GX carriers have a secondary hitch receiver included that can be used for accessories like a bike rack or basket. The secondary receiver is NOT tow or recovery rated.
Single arm carriers are available as a Tire arm for a spare tire, or as an Accessory arm for things like Jerry Cans (Jerry can mount not included, available here), Hi-lifts, and other tools or storage options. Dual arm carriers come with both a Tire arm and an Accessory arm. Tire arms come with a License Plate Relocation bracket and License Plate Light. It is the end user's responsibility to wire in the license plate light.
